Kolbiaka Wedding

These are a couple of images we created a few weeks ago at Stone Mountain Park. Lindsay and Evan make a great couple. We showcased them back a few months ago for their engagement.

I love the building top in the background from a Stone Mountain Park building that has a chapel look to it. It would not be Stone Mountain without lots of rock. The first image was in the grape vines in the plantation.

Don & Lacey / Neverland Farms

Well, what can I say about the wedding this past weekend? Not enough great things, that is for sure! Lacey and Don make an adorable couple and were a blast to work with! These two could not have asked for a better day for their wedding at Neverland Farms in Cleveland, GA. The weather was gorgeous and the venue was spectacular too! Thanks for allowing me to share your special day. I hope you guys enjoy your photos! Our associate photographer Jessica photographed this wedding.

St. Augustine / Courtney & Brandon / Atlanta Wedding Photographer

Wow! What else can you say about this image. This is Courtney & Brandon in St. Augustine, Florida this past Sunday evening.

Brandon & Courtney live in the Orange Park, Florida area. They met at St. Johns River State College. They are planning on getting married in May 2012. Congratulations guys!

Brandon has his last name, Schumacher tattooed on his back. Made for a pretty cool image in black and white.

Ashley’s Bridal / Chateau Elan Wedding Photography

This is an incredible sun set session at Chateau Elan in Braselton, Georgia. This young lady is Ashley. Ashley and I had emailed each other back a few times and this is a session that I did this past Friday night. What I love about Ashley which I rarely see in other brides is a surreal, fairy tale look that she has. My daughter Samantha summoned it up well when she said that Ashley looks like a Disney Princess bride. I laughed and said honey, I am sure Ashley would have loved to have heard you say that. Enjoy the images!

Bridal Train

All aboard!! This is a young lady that we photographed at Stone Mountain Park last month. This beautiful dress was made by well known designer and wedding coordinator, Chris Davidson of Christophers, in Gainesville, Georgia. I have used the train car many times with children but never with a bride. Meredith jumped onto the train car for us as the sun was setting behind her and held on. I call this image, “Run Away Trane” Yes, I spelled that correctly. The bridal trane on the train. We will see what the judges think when it goes to the Professional Photographers of America print competition I entered it in. Great ad for Stone Mountain Park!

Jumping For Joy

We did a wedding at North Metro First Baptist Church. This is a great shot of the bridesmaids. We asked them to jump as high as they could. I love the way it turned out. The little flower girl on the end is my daughter and the bride is Whitney Smith, my best friends daughter. I will post more photos when the bride and groom return from their honeymoon. This wedding was a blast and I can’t wait to post more images.

Meredith & BJ

Take a look at this session. You may have heard that photography in the middle of the day is terrible. With our schedule we had a session at 2:00pm! The height of bad lighting according to what we are taught in photography school. We generally try to avoid this time of day out on location. Our studio garden was designed by us for photography at any time of day but going on location is different. I feel that this engagement session is probably one of the prettiest we have ever done. My son Josh held a 6 foot sunbounce reflector overhead in several to give shade. Jessica and I both shot this session. I think this session is a great example of making lemonade out of lemons.

Sometimes you just want to have fun when water is around. I think BJ had a good time getting Meredith wet!

Mike & Whitney’s Wedding

The one by the fountain is when they saw each other for the first time. Let me tell you this makes a tremendous difference in the number of bride and groom photos that can be taken at a wedding as well as calming the nerves for both the bride and the groom when they can have that special moment together. Although this location was pretty neat in that there friends where looking through the window excited and happy for them as they first saw each other. North Metro First Baptist has a wonderful inner garden and fountain area. The other image is a great image that I like to create by focusing on the flowers and letting everything else behind that go out of focus.

Destin Beach Engagement

These are a few images from a recent photo shoot in Destin, Florida. What an awesome place for a photo session! Just give us a call if you are looking for wedding coverage of a destination wedding. Have camera, will travel!

This was one of those early overcast mornings at the beach. The kind of overcast we photographers love. The light was even, the colors where very saturated and the water beautiful. These where done around 7:30 am. The temperature was very comfortable at that time of day and the water was a bit cold, but hey I wasn’t getting wet, Amanda and Justin were! Ha Ha!
